How does Botox work? Swansea, IL Nurse can help.
What is Botox? Botox is a neuromodulator derived from botulinum toxin type A. It works by temporarily relaxing facial muscles that cause wrinkles. When these muscles stop contracting repetitively, dynamic lines will soften and smooth out, giving the skin a refreshed look.
What type of Botox do you use? I specialize in Xeomin, often referred to as “NAKED BOTOX." While it functions like other neuromodulators, Xeomin is unique because it is highly purified. Xeomin is different from other forms of neuromodulators (Botox) because it is the purest form. Through precise manufacturing process, unnecessary proteins are removed, leaving only the active ingredient.
Why does this matter? Overtime, some people can build a resistance to traditional neuromodulators because their bodies react to these proteins. Using a purified formula like Xeomin will decrease the risk of "Botox resistance." Because it is the purest form available, it remains highly effective even for patients who have noticed other products becoming less potent over time.
